Default error code help needed

hey guys.2002 dodge ram 2500 5.9 cummins diesel. I had my check engine light come on after a long trip. tach went haywire and lost power for a few seconds got hm and code 341 came up. replaced cam position sensor. tried to reset codes by removing ecu fuses as advised. after the 5 min waiting period I reinstalled ecu fuses and when I started engine all of a sudden my abs and parking brake were on. took her for a spin and the lights went out. when I checked to see if my 341 cam pos sensor was gone and now im getting code 1388 which I believe is asd relay. what the heck happened??? can anyone explain???

P1388 Auto Shutdown Relay Ctrl Circ

PCM is having trouble controlling the ASD relay. That relay provides power to the injectors, and the coil. Check the connections at the PCM first, make sure they are clean, and tight. Try swapping the ASD relay with the horn relay. (provided your horn currently actually works....) See if that doesn't deal with the issue.

Timing is controlled totally by the PCM, from the crank position sensor. None of which is easily adjustable. So, you should be golden there.... You didn't pull the distributor, or move it did you??

thanks. 5.9 cummins no distributer. so after some research 1388 has nothing to do w retarded timing w dodge. do you suppose that removing the ecu fuses tricked the computer into thinking that there was an open circuit in the asd relay? it happened immediatly after removing and reinstalling ecu fuses under the hood

there is no running issue. although rpms seem to be reading slightly lower at speed than before. it was reading 2k rpms at 65 mph before vs 1800rpms at 65 now. no check engine light. just getting code where I wasn't before

Ooops. Missed that part. (was it there before? I see you did some editing....)

200 RPM difference might be TCC is working now, where it wasn't before....? Clear the codes again. (Ignition off, just disconnect battery for a few minutes, and turn on the headlights.)

See if anything comes back.
