Default Steering gear box and related symptoms

I know the steering gear box on my truck is bad, because my truck wanders all over the road. I have already had the tie rods, steering stabilizer, and shocks replaced.

I have a new Borgeson steering box that I need to get installed, its an upgrade over the factory Saginaw steering box. My question is, would a bad steering box cause the steering to feel heavy, like the power steering is only about half of what it should be ?, or would it be caused by a bad power steering pump ?.

More than likely the pump. Sure wouldn't hurt to replace it as well, and flush out the lines good before installing that nice, new, EXPENSIVE Borgeson box.
