ok so ive got my 95 ram 1500 4x4 318 motor 46rh. my trans blew this morning at 143,000 miles. Ive got a guy that's going to rebuild it for 375 labor plus parts. I need advice on what I need to make this trans more durable. I do some mild offroading and towing. I just need it to be reliable. exactly what all am I going to need to get this done? any suggestions on what will make it more durable? please any advice is much appreciated. thanks

 

Page 6 I think of MonteC's trans thread, sticky at the top of the 2nd Gen Section, should have a list of parts for building a solid trans, not sure how much of it will apply to a RH trans, but that should give you an idea.

Also depends on what your budget will allow.
