Default Preformance!!

I want to give my ram some more power. What is all the engine mods that will bring its brake horsepower up and losses down. On another note, i gotta have some new shocks and such, so what would be some great suspension/accessory mods that will make it look and ride better? I had posted this before. Couldnt find it and didnt remember any of the input. Im printing the answers this time lol

No replacement for displacement! Stroke that 5.9 (360) engine to 408 cubic inches using a 4" cast stroker crank with corresponding pistons and rods, add a set of replacement cylinder heads with 2.02" intake valves, a mild hydraulic roller camshaft and a Hughes or M1 intake for use with your existing fuel injection. You will have a true beast of an engine with gobs of torque. Also, upgrade your gearing to 4.56 (given your 36" tires) and you will really notice a difference.

There's a set of 2.02 EQ heads for sale in the user classifieds section. Check them out!

You'll benefit the most by changing up your gearing if you insist on running those big heavy tires....

The 408 stroker is an excellent option if you have deep pockets....easier options are sct tuner, headers and full exhaust, hughes intake w/ bored throttle body, harland sharpe roller rockers...

+1^ on the short list of mods... that is about it for things that make a real difference, without spending big $$

I may start a 408 project later. Right now I'm just lookin for low end engine mods. I plan on regearing the running gear already. BTW, I may have a lower gear than stock BC it carries them tires better than my 33s lol...

Well, you can put the truck in neutral, jack it up, lay under the truck and have someone spin a wheel one time. Count how many times your drive-shaft spins around and estimate your gear ratio. If it turns about 3.5 times then you've got 3.55 gears. A little more than 4 times and you have 4.10s.

I didn't know that lol. BTW those 2.02 heads are nice but I have limited budget. I plan on one $300 or so mod at a time. If I had the dough, I jump on it though!
