I was wondering just how fast everyone's trucks are, and feel free to share how u got the there.

I will Tell you i have only had this truck (01 dodge ram sport 4x4) for like 2 months and i am still takin it easy but i have got it to like 93 once before i had to turn, but i did get in a mood one night and went to this one part where the people in high school do their burnouts, btw i used to go there. Anyway it only took one try, and i now have the longest marks.

 

I've had my 01 Ext. cab sport 4x4 up to 115. I have a buddy who said he hit 120 with his.

BTW I jus weighed my truck the other day and with me in it (230#) and half tank of gas and it weighed 5910 lbs. I imagine I had about 150 lbs of excess weight though. Just thought this would be interesting to some.

 

they go fast. I got mine to 110 the other day before my radar detector went off and i slowed down if you want a real rush. ( I wouldnt really recomend it with a automatic but)
drop that sucker in 4L and mash the gas. i can tell you how many cars ive wooped in a short drag like that. thats an experience. be prepaired to be thown back into your seat like you in a fighter jet taking of on after burners. [sm=gears.gif]

They go fast enough. I've had mine in the high 90s already (in second gear I might add). That was on the way back from Florida...going 95 meant you were in the SLOW lane.

 

I've had mine up to 118 while getting around some slow traffic on the turnpike...had plenty of power to spare too. Anyone know when the speed limiter kicks in?

 

I have had mine up to 115 several times. Mine always shuts off at 115. I hit 115 in 3rd gear runnin about 4000 rpm with plently left to go. The flowmasters and K&N cai seemed to help out alot...seems to get to 115 alot quicker.

 

i've had mine to 120 several times no problem. felt great too.

 

U guys say u have had ur truck to 115-120, how long of stretch did it take? it would had took forever to do that with mine, but now i have that IAT sensor resistor and i should prob try again...
