Well like i said in another post i am gonna put a flowmaster 40 with dual 2 1/4 outlets and 3 1/2 tips. but what i wanna know is should i keep the cat. on or replace it with a performance cat. or just put a simulator on it, that way the check engine light stays off.

If you pull the cat off your going to actually hurt your gas mileage and your power. Not to mention the ticket you'd get if you get caught. Your best bet would be to put a high flow cat on. It will increase gas milage and power and it will give you a lil bit more of a bite to your exhaust. It won't be a substantial sound differeance but you will notice it.

Buy a magnaflow cat. Many people have done this in this forum. Flows higher and you stay legal.

It won't hurt your power if you lose it. I vote for deleting it...depending on where you live of course. If you do a lot of city driving, you may want to keep it.

I say keep it. I had my cat off for a while and you hear a poping noise when ever you let of the gas. Im guessing from not enough back pressor. i have a maganflow cat and its great. i would keep the cat.

Replace your stock one with a hi-flow aftermarket, you will get a little bit better sound, better flow for future mods and your ride will stay legal.
