Default exhaust or sct tune?

Basically I have a couple hundred to spend on my truck and im wondering what I should...ive narrowed it down to either the mid/y pipe or get an sct tune by hemifever...

The mid/y pipe will be a direct fit from magnaflow.

I know the sct will probably be the best bang for the buck...but my cat is on its last leg too... anyone got any suggestions or even something else to mod?

As long as you have fixed the plenum, I'd go with the exhaust mods/fixes, as it sounds like its in serious need for it. A plugged cat can cause overheating and power loss issues and I'd be inclined to fix that before it gets to that stage.

stock y pipes are seriously restrictive. ESPECIALLY the sub 2000 models.

If it can't breath freely, you wont get the advantages of the other mods.

That is true and the plenum is fixed. Also it barely passed smog this year...well I guess the sct will have to wait...maybe christmas? :-)

Thanks all for your opinions thank you
