when i had my crotch rocket and lived down south.. i fabed up a automatic liscence plate retracter out of some linkage piano hing and a windowmotor (any kind out of any junker car) and a few push switches for automatic stops... pretty slick...

 

Im addressing the original post:

I must be missing something here, a person wants to cover license plates to hide themsleves or other whom are driving their vehicle from being ticketed for running redlights etc etc, driving is a responsibility with laws to protect you and others, its one thing to open it up in the wide open country, cutting your cat off, running open headers, but running redlight, or even worrying about accidently running a redlight is just not cool. They have some of these lights around Ohio and it caught a guy who ran a redlight and struck a child, then he left the scene, camera got him.

And if someone is driving a dumptruck/semi and they rearended someone who stopped for a greenlight, sounds like no one was paying attention in that situation, or someones depth perception is way off. I drove semi for years, 10 feet from the car in front of you, thats ridiculous in a semi... you have 5xs the stopping distance ...hell ya you were gonna hit them, I see a bicycle in your future....my opinion only PAY MORE ATTENTION WHEN YOU DRIVE...STOP YAKIN ON CELL PHONE...QUIT PUTTING ON YOUR MAKEUP...OR STUFFIN YOUR FACE WITH THAT .99 CENT BURRITO...JUST PAY ATTENTION AND DONT WORRY ABOUT RUNNING RED LIGHTS.

And as rule of thumb, you always drive defensively, you need to be aware of yourself, and the other guy who is passing you at 65 mph, because he goes left of center better get ready to react

Rumors abound: Around here it's they're shortening the yellow, so as to catch more red light non stoppers. They've put cameras on the tollway prepaid drive thru lanes where you have a transciever in the truck. If your not familiar with that toll stop AND ARE NOT PREPAID try getting in the maned toll lane at 75 mph during rush hour. The camera deal is B.S..

 

alright....everybody..LEARN TO READ!!!! HE doesn't run red lights....pays attention...and isn't trying to get out of tickets he deserves!!!!!!!! if you have 2 lights in a row...follow with me...thats 2 lights...you have a green light at the moment, the next light has a red..if theres somebody in front of you, they go through at you're green light, and get stuck at the next one, and you get stuck in the middle of the intersection...the camera assumes that you ran the light! It doesn't matter wether you didn't, the camera can only show so much...so stop giving the guy crap about him frickin not paying attention or trying to get out of tickets....he just doesn't wanna get a ticket that he didn't diserve from a system that doesn't have all the kinks worked out!!! PLease go back to school...learn about reading and pu;lling information out, stop making crap up...glad you found a website you need.

I understand he is not intending to run red lights or does run red lights, if you read my post it was stating in Missouri it is illegal to cover your licence plate. That includes snow, mudd and atificial means.
But to address your post, if said person was paying attention, he would not be caught between two lights or in the intersection. He would see traffic is backed up and he would wait at the first light as to make sure he has room for his car to get through the said light as to not be in the intersection and get a ticket if the light turns red on him. Thats called looking ahead and paying attention. Not to hard to do and alot safer then getting T-boned by the idiot not paying attention and shooting through the green with out watching to see if trafic is cleared the intersection yet/ Oh and by the way if he gets hit, guess who is at fualt, thats right him for not clearing the intersection. Same as running a red.

 

Read the original post....doesnt say anything about being caught in intersection? Just wants to cover license plates cause he HATES BIG BROTHER...cmon, maybe you should read all the information before u post also. I don't think you actually understand how these lights work, If your caught in intersection its not running a red light, the camera knows this because it records light activity while filming, if you coast across those pretty white lines on the road after the light turns red well then its your own damn fault, you just ran a red light....sorry for all those others on here reading this, just irks me when people try to justify their ignorance
