Default Gauges dead "No=Bus" 2001 Ram 1500

We are dealing with a 2001 Ram 1500, 5.9, 4x4, 295,000 miles.

Just had the gauge cluster go dead. When it is started you get the odometer for a few seconds then displays No_Bus.
Had the cluster checked and bench checks fine. All fuses good.
Speedo shop said I am getting no communication with the BCM. this is something I know nothing about. suggestions?

Grab the 01 service manual from here. I do believe there is a troubleshooting guide in there for 'no bus'.

So i had this happen, fixed by cleaning all grounds on the chassis and making sure the wires are good and not corroded. You may need to peel the casing back to find clean wire. Make sure to get the PCM ground to. I also tightened down the big screw in the PDC nearest the motor, and bam my guages were back. Never had the problem after either. Hope this helps ya out.
