Remove spark plugs too. Make it easier on the starting motor.

 

Or at least spinning the motor....


But good idea.

 

Never let one of these trucks sit without gas in the tank because i did for 4.5 yrs and when it wouldn't start i dropped the tank and the pump had a inch of rust on it ! Replaced the pump with a good used one and it fired right up !

 

I rescued one that had been sitting for 5 yrs. out in a corn field and the only damage done just firing it right up was a couple push rods.
