Default Excessive oil usage

1997 magnum pickup with 5.2 engine,112000 miles. Does not smoke, could this be the plenum or does that not apply to this engine?

Look through your throttle body into the intake manifold look for oil deposits. My 5.2l burned 5.2litera every 1000 miles when it went bad
Mine didn't smoke either even with the constant burning.

How about stating an actual amount that you think is "excessive"?

A quart over a standard 3K oil change interval is nominal. You have low miles, but that doesn't mean you got some crap going on.

Read the sticky thread about the Plenum.

Get a new PCV valve from the dealer.

Did u look through your throttle body? Sounds like plenum. It's very simple take off air intake. Look through throttle body with flashlight.
