I was up in the woods last weekend and I went to pull my truck into 4Hi and it wouldn't budge. So I tried 4low and it went in just fine. I thought maybe the linkage was bound up or maybe something was blocking the shifter from going back. I removed the boot and nothing was in the way. So I adjusted the linkage and that didn't do nothing either. I tried pulling the linkage off and pulling on the lever coming straight off the transfer case and it still would not move. It worked fine last winter so im not sure whats wrong. Any help would be much appreciated.

 

While its not needed for 4Hi to be in N, but did you try that? 4Low requires going to N.

Is there fluid in the tcase?

Do you have jackstands and floor jack? Could test at home.

 

Yeah I tried neutral, moving and in park and it wont move. And the fluid is full. Yes I have stands and a jack at home.
