Default 1998 dodge ram 3.9 temp gauge question

I've got a 98 dodge ram 1500 2wd 3.9 V6 102xxx miles and I've been noticing my temp gauge stays right between the 130 and the 210 mark, is this normal operating temp? I took the truck on a 1000 mile road trip last weekend and it stayed the same the entire trip, (and gave me an impressive 21.1 mpg) it just seems to run a little cool to me, am I wrong?

So long as it gets up to around 200, and stays there, things are working as they should. If it cools down to near 130 after it has been running for a while, time to replace the thermostat.
