Stalling when I let off the gas
Hey y'all, I've got a 96 1500 5.2 auto 4x4 with lots of miles and I've been having a stalling problem for the last few days. It is idling fine but when I take off from a stop and have to let off the gas quickly it wants to stall out or idle down real low then pick back up to normal. I really noticed it when I went up a friends steep driveway a few days ago and had to stop and bumped the gas to move over and it quit. It has been running fine all summer and now that it's cooling off it wants to mess up.. go figure. I've looked around on the forum and came up with maybe the IAC but no codes are being thrown. Any insight would be nice, thanks in advance.

The IAC will do that very thing. If you don't want to try it yet, keep an eye on it and see if the problem is most pronounced with both low temperature and high humidity. If it is, the IAC is almost certainly the culprit. You might get away with cleaning the valve and bore, or you might not. Don't twist or pull on the pintle while doing it.
If not the IAC, then take a look at the upstream O2 sensor (assuming factory style exhaust). Those can go bad and not throw a code (like mine did over the summer!)...they can mess with the idle and cause all kinds of hell...try the IAC first, o2 second....easy way to diagnose an O2 problem is to simply unplug the upstream O2 and see if the problem goes away (truck will throw a code when sensor is unplugged)
