Default Need Transmission Help

I have a 95 RAM 1500 4x4 and I'm having an issue with the transmission. I just had a transmission put in and it still is slipping out of gear really bad. I'm at a loss right now and have no clue on what else it could be. Any kind of info would be greatly appreciated.

Was the trans that was put in used, or rebuilt? Is fluid level up where it should be? (gotta check in neutral, park gives an artificially high reading.) Does it slip in all gears? Or just O/D?

It was low on fluid and i filled it up and now it seems like it won't even try to go in gear. And yes the transmission was used, but I was told that it was still good. Although the guy could have been lying

It just fine when I brought it home and then earlier this morning is when it started slipping. And it started in overdrive and eventually went to all the gears

How many miles were on it? Slipping in all gears really isn't a good sign.... was there any kind of warranty on it?

I called a few places and they said that it could be the check valve that is in the high pressure oil cooling line for the transmission. Cause this is the exact same thing it did to the transmission I had rebuilt. And the miles were fairly low. I don't think it was even up to 80,000

Check valve will cause the trans to overheat, but, it shouldn't cause it to slip... Easy enough to get rid of it though, there is a thread in the DIY section with several options to do so. The easiest, simply replacing that section of line with rubber trans hose, takes about 15 minutes, and can be done in the driveway. Need the quick release tool for the one end of the line though.....
