Default 4x4 how to tell..

So since I got rid of my gasser I been messing with this powerstroke, now Its giving me issues I found a 9o cummins but the driveshaft isnt hooked up said it needs rebuilding. Whata the best way to check it out. The price is under 4k it's ext cab long bed.

That's half the battler..... why was the drive shaft removed? Just need u-joints? If so, all you need is a hammer, a punch, and two bricks to change them...... Is it 4x4? Just put it in 4wd and cruise it around, see how it drives.

Yes its 4x4 he says the velocity joint &u joint was bad so he pulled the driveshaft.Says Im welcome to engage thr t case to se that it spins&it has a new tranny

I love my long bed 4x4 crewcab 7.3 99.5 dually but this cummins is gonna be a steal & if I fix the truck right now I wont be able to afford the cummins & what happens if the powerstroke costs more than the cummins to fix ya know?

Front drive shaft is out? That's easy to fix.
