Default RTV and Intake Manifold Gasket

I have read a few different solutions on this. RTV only around the coolant ports. RTV on the head side of the gasket only. RTV on both sides and no RTV. Anyone have some consistent information?

I put it around the coolant port (both sides), and in the corners where the intake gaskets meet the valley end gaskets.

When I installed the intake manifold I went with a VERY LIGHT bead on both sides on the gasket. Didn't want any and don't have any known leaks.
