Are the headers from autozone and advanced auto worth putting on these trucks
I was told that any brand of headers ending in "Tech" are not worth a dam, is there any truth to this.

Shorties aren't going to get you much. Long tubes are more of a pain to put on, but, benefits are better. On your 95, its where the pipes from the manifolds go into the cat that is the serious choke point. A high-flow cat (or off-road y-pipe) would get you more noticeable gains than shorties.
