Default a/c unit psi?

This isn't the typical question. Finally got it to create a thread. I was wondering if anyone knew how much psi our ac units push.
Question is I have an air tank. Dad and I was talking about seeing the actually unit as a air compressor. But first I need to know how much psi it actually pushes.
Any thought on how to test?

A/C can develop over 300 PSI. More than enough to turn your air tank into a bomb. Pressure regulator is going to be required. As is some flavor of oiling system.

Dad said it'd be around there. And wed have to change the regulator. Do you know where that would be?

It's in the PCM. Your best bet, if you want to use it for an air compressor, is just to get the right pressure switch FOR an air compressor, and let that control when the compressor cycles. After all, you are going to completely bypass all of the stock a/c lines, so, the PCM won't have a clue what's up.

OK but a pressure switch would control when it turns on and off. My tank is around 150psi. Compressor is 300psi. How do I regulate the air. Just put a regulator on it?

Yep, just like you would any other air compressor.
