hub problems

Default hub problems

I have a 94 ram 1500 that keeps eating hubs like 3 in a 6 month period the frames not warped any help with this would be nice

Need a lot more details. 2wd or 4wd? Lifted or stock? Alignment is in spec? What size tires?

tires are stock size 4wd no lift and alianment is good

Torquing the axle nut to the requisite 180+ ft. lbs?

Cheap Chinese made ebay hub bearings ?

Only other thing that I could see is an out of balance side axle . That's like a shot in the dark !

yep i went by the book on it had it done by a shop first time and it ate it in 2 weeks got one from advanced it lasted a month before it went got one from napa lasted for about 4 to 5 tends to happen wene i have to lock in to 4 weel drive

Im thinking youre probably on to something there.

OP are you on aftermarket rims? Or wheel spacers? When was alignment done last? Lets get easy stuff out of the way before digging in to much. Just for s&g can you post a pic of the front end OP? Maybe we'll see something sticking out.

What brand unit bearings are you running?

I went through a few cheap ones on my Jeeps. Started running the Timken's and haven't had any problems.

When I replaced the ones on my '95 D2500 I used Tinken also, worth the extra cash for the piece of mind. (not to mention the down time and labor you put into changing them)

it was a bent axle on the drivers side going into front diff i dont know why i didnt think of it but ty
