new headlights are DIM!!!???
Hey yal gotta headlight question for ya... just got these put in today and they are very dim for low beams so I use thw "highs" to drive but they are just about as bright as the lows SHOULD be... everything is working, should i put a bigger fuse in it to give them more power?
This is the lows both halogen bulb and halos are on

A fuse gives no more power. If you out a 50 amp fuse in place of a 20 amp it would not give any more power at all. All that would happen is the fuse would not blow if you had a power surge and catch all the little weak connections in your wiring on fire and burn your truck to the ground.
My standard headlights are not very bright, I don't want to put in those lights that need a ballast or look blue, I really hate seeing them come at me, blinds me.
Question is, are there any standard bulbs for my 1996 Ram 1500 that put out better light? I have a 2000 Olds and 2013 Elantra that are great, very bright with standard bulbs. Dodge truck does fine charge shows about 14 volts, bulbs are old, but they have always seem dim and I don't remember the brand.

With most light upgrades, you use a relay kit to provide power directly rather than through the minimally sized factory harness.
If you're drawing too much through the factory harness, A) you will burn it up, B) the lights will be dim.
That the halos get brighter when the halogens are turned off would support this.

I have a similar headlight setup installed on my truck. While they look nice, they just don't produce great light on the road. I'm in the process of removing mine and installing the OEM Ram Sport style headlights. These produce plenty of light. I also plan to install the LMC truck headlight harness with relays to ensure the headlight bulbs receive max current and a reduction in current going through the headlight switch, which is famous for melting down.
I like the stock sport headlight look myself. OP if you are happy with the styling of the new head lights you will need brighter bulbs for those low beam projectors. I recently picked up a pair of LED headlight bulbs off ebay for $67. 2000 lumen low beam/3000 lumen high beam runs only 30 watts, no need for a relay harness.
The stock 9007 low beam only emits 1350/1000 lumen using 65/55 watts Hi/Lo
Also you can remove the high beam relay that cuts off the low beam with the high beam, put a jumper in place and that keeps the lows on while the high beams are on.
As stated earlier, make sure you have good ground and use a relay harness for any bulb socket that has more than just the head light bulb powered off of it. You can get the pre-made 9004 or 9007 harness on ebay for just a few dollars. They are very simple and easy to install. One end to positive battery, the other end to chassis ground, and plug the two socket one to the bulb and the other to factory harness

I'm looking at your pics and that is not right. The first pic Low beam should only have the outer 9007 projector lit. You are wired wrong and feeding power to the inner 9004 high beam when it should be off!
The second pic you posted 'High beams' should only have the inner 9004 bulb lit and cut power to the outer 9007 projector (unless using the jumper)
These Chinese manufacturers always seems to think the 9004 and 9007 sockets are the same wiring when they are not. You will need to switch the pins on the bulb socket that is wired incorrectly.
