Default 4x4 acting up

A few days ago I had to use 4x4 as the roads were bad, 4x4 worked fine and all was good.
The next day I was driving around in 2 wheel drive and i noticed my 4x4 light flashing randomly and then it stopped.
I looked at my vaccum lines and fixed a broken one on the transmission crossmember.
But now when I shift into 4x4 the dash light does not come on which was working fine before.
I think my cad may be messed up.
Any suggestions?

Make sure that you don't have any other vacuum leaks...... That's the biggest problem.

^yeah. Rule out all the vacuum schtuff. Did you hit something? lol

You can test while putting the front axle up on jack stands. I'll assume you know how unless you need more input.
