37s
Hey quick question: was wondering what it takes to clear 37s. I know a 5in sus lift with 2in body lift will clear them just fine. I have 5in RCX sus lift. I have the road rhino front bumper and it has WAY MORE clearance than the stocker bumpers. If I run 37s you guys think I'll rub? I'm moreso worried about rubbing on the fender, my fender wells have been taken out. Anyone doing this? Thanks
Gonna be close..... and if you actually off-road with it, compress the suspension too much, and they WILL make contact. Probably rub on the control arms at full lock as well...
But..... How much clearance do you have with your current tires? What size are they?

I clear 35s 12.5 wide and I've done some serious trailing and never had them rub, so I think they might on compression.. Think it streetable until body lift goes on? What offset/back spacing should I choose?
I will prolly use stock rim. I have longer control arms yes, came with the lift. And I also do have the extension bracket that remounted the trackbar. Maybe I could put a small wheel spacer and that'd take car of the control arm? Then I only have to worry about rubbing. I could use longer control arms...I know rubbing front bumper won't be an issue, it's only fender I'm worries about.
Stock rim with the RC control arm, you'll rub them. However, at full lock and they should slide on arms ok.
It's the fender that would take you out. Are you already leveled? Adding spacer to the coil spring will help, but you really need adjustable lower arm to push out some.
35s with SJ 5" springs and axle pushed forward to accommodate.

Same position, but now with 37s....notice the proximity to the fender

The push forward to clear

Toss up pics similar on your current setup.

I might machine up a spacer! You think aluminum stock is tough enough, or will that mishape over the miles... I can prolly do steel stock don't know how much is required to swap on the machines at my buddy's place to do so. They generally deal with only aluminum stock.
I'd recommend a little trimming before running 37s due to uptravel. If they are 37x12.50s your control arms shouldn't rub since you have a 5 inch lift and run 35x12.50s already. I'm in the same boat with 35s and a Zone 5" lift but I'm removing the bed this summer and am willing to trim my front fenders to clear 37s. Endgame is 40s once my 1 tons are in.
