Default Hi Beams Stuck on?

Well I was driving my truck and noticed my hi beam light indicator was on parked the truck and walked into a store and came out and my headlights were on even though the normal switch says off. So i tried the hi beam switch didn't change. i found a lot of info on DRL but according to my build sheet I don't have them unless I missed it. Wondering how to fix this issue since I don't want to disconnect the battery everytime. Thanks and below is my build sheet from dodge.

Headlight switch provides ground path for the circuit. Don't recall if there is a relay involved anywhere..... Grab the 98-99 service manual from here, and dig thru the wiring diagrams. Should be able to pretty much figure out where to start looking from the comfort of your computer chair.

Well I can't explain it other then luck but I reconnected my battery to drive it today since its way to cold to work outside. The hi beams are off now and haven't turned themselves back on. So maybe the melting snow and ice messed with a ground I don't know.

The headlight switches are problematic on these trucks. I'd replace it and install relays at the same time. LMC truck sells a kit.

I had a problem with my high beams not working at all if my steering wheel was in the lowest position. Ended up being two wires in the steering column. I just zip tied them in place and haven't had a problem since. I'll take it to the dealer and get it fixed permanently one day.

The harness was too short. On mine, with the steering wheel all the way up, quite a few things stop working...... My daughter was the one that liked to drive that way, I found it incredibly uncomfortable..... she has her own car, and doesn't drive the truck any more, so, it just isn't an issue.

My steering columns probably in the middle but ill take off the kick panel and check the wires when it gets a little warmer.
