Default Air condition problem

Thanks in advance for your review.

I just finished redoing my ac system to include: evaporator, accumulator, condenser, and expansion valve. vacuumed the system for 45 min.

The charging process went fine the compressor was cycling on and off but as I was adding 134a approximately 28 of 32 oz the compressor started to continuously run and since doesnt not shut off. Temperature at the vents is cold at 42* but the compressor continues to run.

here are my gauge readings:
at hook up: L83/H83
Engine start up-ac on: 36/120 no change in ac pressure
engine rpm 2000- 33/117
engine shut down 80/60

I need help analyzing these readings. Any thing in these readings leads to why the compressor pressure isn't climbing? but the air is cold at 42*

1999 ram, 5.2 auto, 4x4. arctic freeze one 19oz and one 12 oz can.

aloha.

If I'm reading your numbers correctly, I would say a bad reed valve in the compressor. But I'm not an expert.

Sounds like it's working fine to me.

What is ambient temperature when you are getting 42* out the vents?

First and foremost, thanks for your responses.

OAT was 78*, I am starting to think the compressor is bad due to the low pressure on the high side.

I too think nothing is wrong. It will only cycle off if its over the max psi for the high pressure cutout. 78 isn't too hot. At 110, it will probably reach the cutout temp... My dakota does this too when it isn't really hot out.
