Default buying a replacement 360

So I'm trying to buy a replacement engine for my truck at Oreillys an they asked me if it was a magnum an told me there computer says they have three chrysler 360s but only one is a magnum other 2 do not list magnum but all three list application year to be 93/01 an they all say they are remanufactured so wouldn't that make them all magnums engines being 93/01 if not what difference might it make if I bought a non magnum engine?

If your unsure what I'm getting at an wanna take a look at what I'm talking about just go to O'Reillyautoparts.com

Is there a price difference between the engines? There is a 360 and a 360 magnum http://www.allpar.com/mopar/318.html

I agree with you. They *should* all be magnum engines. The difference is the magnums had the roller cam, 10 bolt valve covers, intake bolts are straight down, instead of angled, and lifter angle is different as well...... oiling system changed as well.....

All three engines I come up with on O'Reilly's site are pretty much exactly the same parts... as far as heads, block, and crank. Warranty is a little different on two, and one comes with timing cover, and oil pan, aside from that, I don't see the difference. Maybe some different internal parts? Who knows. Probably any of the three would work just fine. Wonder if you can get a list of parts used?

Yeah I'm going to have to try that an see what I come up I'm.thinking there is no difference between the three engines besides the warranty.. thanks hey you

An if you look at the pictures they all have the the camshaft sensor spot isn't that a tell tell of a modern "magnum" like engine

One more question any idea why my torque converter is welded to my flywheel?

No maybe a bad bearing I'm guessing.. started out as a head gasket took my heads in to be machined what do you know cracked heads both of them so I got new heads went to put em on did a once over on the block was turning the crank pulley an would get the pop like noise when #3 rose to the top so I don't wanna just do top end and wait for lower end problems was gonna d ok a short block rebuild for 1850 1 year 10,000 mile warranty because I already have new heads but i can get a 3 year unl if I buy I just buy a long block for 2300/2600 so in the end I'm springing for the warranty
