Default Tire Question, Need Help, Restoring 2000 Dodge.

Down to the point. I have decided to restore a 2000 Dodge Quad Cab 1500 Gas Hog.

I am looking to fit the biggest tires possible on the stock 16 inch rims.

I am new to pickups, and the pickup is lower in the front than in the back. What would I need to buy in order to lift it up and make the pickup level? I am looking at anywhere between a 3 and 6 inch lift, what else is required or should be considered when adding a lift and leveling the pickup?

Good info on lifts and tires in the FAQ/DIY section. Start reading. Also check the plenum. Welcome to the forum.

I definitely did read the FAQ/INFO forums, athough I couldn't quite find a DIRECT answer to my question about the tires.
What is the plenum?

Why did you have to point me towards the Plenum thread? Now I feel as if I need to replace my plenum gasket >_<

You probably do.

The largest tires without lift? You *might* be able to fit 33's under there, with just a 2" leveling kit. Any bigger, and you will need a lift.

^^ This First for sure ^^

After you get the truck completely mechanically sound, then start adding the mods you want.

I also have a 2000 Dodge quad cab that I`ve been working on for the last two years. The previous owner did nothing to take care of it, and everything was worn out from the ground up.
