I have a 98 Ram 1500 w/360 4*4 with a bad transmission will a 99Dokato w/318 4*4 tranmission interchange

 

Eeeehhhh, I believe the Dakota is going to be a lighter duty 44re, whereas the Ram should have a 46RE. You could bolt it up, and it would *probably* plug in, but it's not designed to handle the power and weight of the bigger truck/motor.

Where are you located? My vote is pull the trans and rebuild it.
