Emergency t case question
ok so my truck is getting worked on as I type this I was going to try to do it myself but my neck won't allow me, anyways that's another story. The mechanic is telling me that there's no way to get the crossmember out to drop the t-case so he wants to take the chain and gear out of my goodt case and put it in there. I do not feel real comfortable with that but I need the truck right away and need the 4 wheel drive right away so is it possible for him to do that? Thank you

Poppycock. Your mechanic just doesn't work on Dodges.
Tell him to get a Port-a-power and spread the frame a HAIR.
Or take the bolts out, raise the t/case up off the mount, pull the mount out, then hammer the crossmember UP, then slide it back. It's a taper fit. It's not easy, but it does come in and out (unless someone welded it).

No &sucks for me, I know the guy he works@a local shop but he was@my shop he works on the side for himself. Last time a mechanic busted up my truck and couldn't pay I beat what he owed me out of Him I forget what fun it is on maybe here I don't think so anyway all the guys thoughtI was A Peter for doing so they are acting like a bunch of little girls. I think that's how men should handle things but that's just me. But I've used this guy before I think it was a mistake and whooping on him ain't going to fix the truck. If anything came out misspelled I'm using speech to text.
