So even some one who doesn't do much work in that sort of stuff could do a swap? Even with all the 4x4 components? It just makes me nervous doing that stuff since it's my only vehicle. I did do the plenum and did ok which surprised me

And to tell you then truth I'm not even sure where to start on finding an axle. Like what I need a d gear ratio and crap. I've never understood most of that sort of stuff

Yes. It's easier than the plenum in my opnion. Well you're less likely to make any kind of major mistake.

All you have to remove is.

Sway bar end links
disconnect control arms from axle
track bar from axle
remove coil springs
Front drive shaft
Shocks

You're biggest problem would be fitting seized bolts by the looks of it.
Air tools make it easy.
Basically need a 21mm and 15 mm socket and a BFH.

If you can do plenum you can do axle swap.

But maybe someone will come in that has better fabrication skills than I and have a easier fix.

I'm not a welder. But I know you would have much more success by cleaning it up real well to get to bare metal.
Yea i suggested this on the other thread of the same subject. From what i gather your welder is NOT up to the task of welding thicker metals. If it cant weld the crack putting a band aid on it by welding on a plate won't work either. You need to either get a better welder or take is to someone who does. Control arms are noting to play around with!

I would limp it to a welding shop and let them weld it. Wouldn't take long and would be cheaper/more convenient than an axle swap.

I guess il have to try that. Will have to wait a bit till I can come up with some money. Out of work right now so I don't even have a dime. That why I was hoping I could band aid it lol.
