Default Transmission help

I just got a 1997 ram 1500 and I was told the transmission was rebuilt. But I drove it home and when I turned or when I throttled into it I heard something like a dry wheel-bearing but not from the wheels so I continued driving and all of a suddenly heard a bang and now I don't have any drive and it started losing reverse. It has a 4 speed with a locking torque converter please help

Moving to the correct section. Looks like you got taken. Never take someone's word that something has been done to a vehicle. Get a receipt showing the work.

Have you looked underneath to check for anything obvious? Like the driveshaft falling out?

I do have the receipts and I know who did the work yes I have checked the drive shaft and torque converter. If it was the torque converter spinning it wouldn't start if it was the drive shaft i wouldn't be able to go in reverse. There isn't any play in the driveshaft either.. The only thing that is off about it is it won't go into first on the panel just to second

Check engine light on? Sounds like it's stuck in limp mode.

Got another set of eyes? have someone watch the driveshaft, while you try and move the truck, see what turns, and what doesn't.
