Default Headliner change

I need to change the headliner in my 96 ram 3500 4x4 diesel. Can the headliner be removed and the new one installed without removing the windshield? If so what is the best way to do this change, and does one door have to be removed? I will have the front seat out so that will not be in the way.
Thanks for any help here.

Just pull the trim, and whatever overhead stuff you have holding it up, and it will fall out.

on a 3500 ram you should have a rubber gasket back glass, remove back glass and pull through opening. all you will need is a hook tool pull rubber lip on the inside down till you see the edge of pinchweld apply outward pressure with other hand on glass, and work across the top(GO EASY TO MUCH FLEX ON TEMPERED GLASS WILL SHATTER IT). to install glass cloth line rope. in the pinchweld grove spray with silicone or WD40 both rubber and body, set window against opening and pull rope into cab, the inside lip will slip over pinchweld and your done.

It would be nice to know if it's standard or extended cab! I have done both, Standard cab is fairly simple. Extended cab the seats need to come out along with the plastic around the rear window. PITA!!!!

Is this to replace the fabric one? Mine needs re-done. The PO tried, but its sagging. Let me know if you find this!

Also keep in mind that you need the extra wide material if you have a extended cab. I found this out the hard way.
