Where did you hear that t stat temp prolongs the plenum? I have been running a 180* and the Hughes kit for over 5 years and not one issue.

He's thinking less heat, less thermal expansion, last longer. Make sense?

Yeah I was say the only way I would switch to a 180 is "IF" it will preserve my plenum longer... but as I've been reading it's a going to happen no matter what. So I put a 195 fail safe in. My gas mileage is really good. At that temp. So I don't need to lose any more. Right now I can actually compare it to my heavy mod 2.2 vtec honda accord. I beat on that car really hard with all the mods. but it still gets good mpg. And this 5.9 cost about the same to drive back and forth to work

jrox44 on your 94 ram you should have a EGR on the back of it connected to the pass manifold correct? I still have my old one and never going to use it, If you want an extra one that has the hughes plate on it already let me know. ill even send a new gasket with it. I had gotten the hughes air gap so I don't need the half kegger intake.
