That sure ain't the problem then.

You could try the test, see if you are pulling vacuum on the crankcase..... Disable and plug the PCV system, so the engine is basically 'sealed', take off the oil fill cap, start the engine. You should feel a breeze coming OUT, if it is sucking in, you have an internal leak somewhere.

Ok I'll have to try it. I just got done doing head gaskets on it so I hope I don't have an internal leak. I haven't started it to see if the head gaskets were the issue yet.

Did you replace your heads? Have them checked at all?

No I didn't, wouldn't a creaked head show up on a compression test?

Maybe. Depends on how bad it is. (and whether the engine was warm/hot/cold when the test was done.) These heads are absolutely notorious for cracking around the valve seats..... If you can, a leak-down test would be rather informative.

Have you done a compression test? Can you post the results? (dry/wet)

All should be over 100, and no more than 25% difference between highest, and lowest.... pressure should NOT be much higher on the wet test...... (if it is, indicates rings are bad.)

Maybe, but, it *shouldn't*..... Could try setting it back to stock, and see if anything improves.

Make sure the connector on the injector is tight...... that can give you a miss as well.
