5.9 magnum 01 ram cylinder #5 misfire
Did the miss stay on 5 when you swapped 'em? If so, I would check wiring for the injector, and if that tests good, throw a noid light on it, and see if you are getting injector pulse.....
Would a power probe do the same thing? I hooked mine up and I was getting power to my injector. I keep coming back to timing. It's getting fuel and spark. But is it getting there at the same time. It's running very lean.
You will have power, PCM controls the ground side of the circuit. You could try putting the probe across the terminals in the connector, and see if the light flashed...... Don't know if an incandescent light will react fast enough to notice though.....
Find out if you have positive(+) voltage on one terminal(from asd relay) and check for a pulse(-) from the pcm. Need to crank/start the engine to check pulse. Need to verify your wiring to the pcm and asd relay, then go from there.
That's just for the pump. Injectors get power from ASD relay. They are all on the same circuit, but, there are splices in there... verify you are getting power TO the injector, and if you have it, verify you are getting a pulsing ground signal for it. (test light trick)
