Default transmission model

so when i bought my truck it had a new tranny. its a 97 so its probably a 46re, but i wanna see what the stock one was replaced with, if its not the original i wanna know. is there somewhere on the trans where its specifies it

Not sure what it would be swapped out with besides another 46re. If I remember from my researching, the 47re was used behind the V10's and diesels don't think the bellhousing matches, the 46rh is primarily hydraulic so I dont think your trucks wring harness will hook up to it.

Due to the electronics and everything, it's very likely that they swapped in another 46re.
