Default 6" lift for a 1996 2wd

Anybody know any companies that do lifts for 2wd trucks? I've found some small ones but nothing big. Also suggestions on what kind of lift combo, would be appreciated. Looking for tire clearance and overall appearance. Thanks!

Get a 4X4! I'll never understand why people want to do this! You have limits how far you can lift a 4X2 due to the steering geometry.

^You don't have to understand why....this is Murica!! Besides, they said for tire clearance and overall appearance.

Typical lift kit companies are Skyjacker, BDS Suspension, Rough Country, Tuff Country (?), Fabtech, and I don't know who else.

I have a 4x4 as Well. And might possibly do a 4wd conversion on this truck in the future... gonna tell me I can't do that either?!?

Thanks!! I looked into most of them. Have a feeling I am going to have to get something fabricated. Then Maybe patent that **** for others that are told it's Not possible 😉

Pretty sure Doetsch Tech is your only choice for that high on a 2WD.

-Fabtech used to have 3", 3.5", and 6.5" kits for the 2wds, but they were discontinued. You may still be able to find someplace that has old stock. The part # fo 94-99s is K3023.
-Doetsch Shocks still has lots of options from 2"-6": http://www.doetsch-shocks.com/16.asp
-Canuck Motorsports still has some stuff: http://www.canuckmotorsports.com/cat_dodge_lift.html
-Airbagit doesn't have kits, but they do have spindles, arms (even adjustable ones), and coils: https://www.airbagit.com/v/vspfiles/...ndles_PAGE.htm

If you wanted to piece together a kit yourself I'd recommend
-Spindles from Doetsche (they have a separate page for spindles by themselves for a little cheaper)
-Moog CC792 springs: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/mog-cc792
these should provide 1"-2" of lift based on the specs in Moog's catalog, and wouldn't require new upper control arms
- Bilstein 33-230405 shocks: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/bs...0405/overview/
probably the nicest shocks that would fit a lifted 2wd even though they aren't application specific for us
-whatever you want in the back, 2"-3" blocks or add-a-leafs would be fine since 2wds don't have blocks from the factory

All this would net you probably 4.5"-5.5" of lift for maybe $800 or so and ride decently well without causing any funky alignments issues or the like. This is my plan when I get up the money for a front end rebuild. Should allow you to run 35s maybe with the right rims or 34s almost definietely (personally I think 295/75r16s would be the perfect size for this setup)

Rear isn't an issue, the front is.
