I changed out my hub assemblies on my 01 Dodge Ram 1500 2wd. My first mistake was getting them off ebay at a cheap price.. have since ordered Timkin hub assemblies. I only have 800 miles on these hubs and got grinding noise on drivers side. Spun the hub and sure enough it was growling so I pulled it off and saw that all the grease was pushed out of the bearing. They were torqued to specs (175lbs). Could this just be the result of going cheap (never again) or lighten up on the torque? Don't want to mess up the Timkins.

What was torqued? I sure hope it wasn't the spindle nut!
