new exhuast done!!! check the pics!!!!!!
ok guys... got the exhaust done!!!!!!!!!!! i love the sound of it... its great!!!!!! this is what i put on
edelbrock headers
magnaflow directfit highflow cat (for 99 and older rams)
40 deires deltaflow flowmaster
and 2 1/4 tailpipes bent from a local eshaust shop
4inch ehcotips..
please no comments on the welds
...they are airtight...but i ran out of argon in the middle of the project so the welds look crappy... the tips are tacked on... in the spring a rollpan is goin on and the tips will need to be adjusted to fit uner the pan...

Nice job.
You weld better than i do
I like the center outlet like that. I never saw that before on a truck.
How long did this all take to fit up?
Do the headers leak?

all together with out killin myself i took 3 days total.. one day to rip off the old system and to wrestle with a broken manifold stud that snapped off IN the head... and cleaned everything up for the assembly... got everything on and tacked up and drove to the exhuast shop for the pipes came home and did the final weld... workin at a slow pace measuring 3 times and cutting once kinda thing.... i dont think the headers leak... i seams i can hear my lifters tappin more .. but i keep re tqin the bolts and they dont move so yea..the dont leak yet! if they do im gonna get a better set of bolts and better gaskets...thats only if they start to leak... im watching them closley...checkin them all the time... my tq wrench and socket and a wrench are all in the truck to check after everytime i start and shut down the motor.
i got tired of seeing all the truck around here with the slip duals... and i figured it would be al ittle different and look mean... i get compliments on the tips all the time..and my spare tire carrier crank is broken so i havnt carried the spare under the truck in about a year ...its always in my bed

Nice! For my 98, I'm thinkin' of gettin' the Gibson SS headers instead of the Edelbrocks and since I want to open the exhaust up, I just learned of the Magnaflow cat a couple of days ago. The 40 Series Flowmasters seem like a good bet too. Now, since your system is pretty much like I was envisioning, how loud is it? I'm not one to worry too much about the Excessive Sound *****, but I also don't want to wake up my deaf neighbors either with a truck that sounds like it belongs in the Craftsman Truck Series.
surprisingly... its not much louder then just a flowmaster... the headers and cat made the rumble a little more...but the actual loudness didnt go up to much...its more of an agressive groan,,, its really quite at idle... but if smash the gas... youll set off some car alarms.....thats fun!!!!!!!!!!
Hehehehe..........now that will come in useful on my trips to Vegas!! Set off some car alarms in the parking garages at the casinos! Oh I gotta get me one of these!!!!!! BTW, how much was the cat conv??

who made the y-pipe???
is that a 3" y-pipe??
nice bends, it looks awesome all the way around. do you not have 2 cats right after the exhaust manifold collectors?
on my list of mods is a 2 1/2" y-pipe with mandrel bends. no-one sells them for a 4x4, especially with the 3 cats on there.

Not bad. Not bad at all. I'll keep it in mind. One more question: What is the diameter of the piping? 2.25 in? or 2.5? The only thing I can see changing for my personal tastes are exiting the pipe(s) out the side in front of the rear wheel.
