Default Torque converter

So I have this 96 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 with the 5. 9. Just before is 200000 miles I decided on a facelift new hood new grill new tires hooked it up then all the sudden I started to feel a little bit of vibration in the gas pedal. Over the next couple days it started to get a lot worse engine vibrates shakes and once in awhile it'll throw a knock but it doesn't sound like a rod or a lifter, and it still has all its beasty powee. when you shut it off its got like a backspin to it and like a little wine but its not sounding like its from the motor. I pulled the inspection cover and all the bolts are tight. Has this ever happened to any one? Im believing it's the torque converter I've never dealt with a blown out torque converter befor are my suspicions right

Does the trans shift OK? Cruise fairly nice? When do you get the vibration? Only in fourth gear?

New tires and it started, I would look there first. Where they balanced?
