Is there any way I can get the hood latch to pop so I can open the hood? Appears the cable from the latch release inside the vehicle has broken and I can't find any part of it inside the vehicle to pull on. I need to replace the battery but can't get the hood open. I don't want to tear out any of the grill and I can lie on my back and see the mechanism for the hood release but I've tried grabbing,pushing, pulling everything I could think of. Please Help!

 

Follow the cable to the latch, and then feel around for the release lever. It's a pain, but, it can be done.
