Did you take it to a muffler shop to do this? Did they just cut and weld back up? I need to do this in the near future. Are you getting a CEL from your rear O2 now?

Most muffler shops WON'T do this..... as it is just slightly illegal for them to do so. Unless you know someone that works there, that can do it on the down-low.

Yeah I was guessing that. I wanted to just cut behind and use some type of coupler to reattach, but I wanted something clean, not U clamps.
Just slide the clamp over the rear section of pipe. (the one that moves easily.) Position the pipe, then slide the clamp forward. Tighten it up, and you are golden.

Looks like I have another weekend project, who knows maybe its more clogged than I think and I'll get a bit more performance out of the beast.
