Default About an old ford farm truck

we had a ford f-100 we used, and one day it snowed and i was coming around my drive and i got it up the slope while spinnin the tires a lil. then when i got up and i was gonna turn around and back in, it died. and then u could start it and push the pedal but no go, then it would slighly go. anyway next day we started it and u had to rev it up and throw it in gear and it would jump out a lil and u would take off slowly, bu tthe thing ran really choppy and sounded like a jet fueled dragster since it has duals with glasspacks. anyway then we parked and never could get it to move again and wouldnt stay runnin, and now it wont fire at all. we put a new fuel pump and filter on. also when u put gas in the tank, it fills up at the hose and comes up out of the hole and u gotta let it drain down. when i put the pump on i blew the lines with a compressor. will crank but i dunno if the pump is not pumpin or if the gas line from the tank fell off. oh and by the way, u put gas in the carb. and it will fire fine, will run choppy cuz of the carbon build up but its good. any help? thanks.

They have Ford Forums you know.........But from previous experience with Ford, check the timing. Sounds like the timing chain may have jumped a tooth. Ford V8 timing chains were notorious for going bad at about 75k or so. If you reved it while spinning a loose timing chain could have slipped.
