98yr model, yes... but 98½yr model was June 98 and on (actually may have technically been May 31st).

My build date is May 25th 98, so I'm often dealing with the "that part dosn't fit your truck" senario, even though it does.
The classic being "Doesn't fit 98 Sport"... it doesn't fit 98½ Sport, but it does fit a 98 Sport.

June 98 and on, should be the 99 model year.

I had one break on my truck the mirrors snap in just be very carefull with a small screwdriver push it to the left and u can get in there and snap it out I got mine from
pull a part and if the in breaks u can get the guts from the donor truck
