Default Appropriate T-Case Saver?

Hey All,

Quick question before I order. I want to do the T-Case saver before I have a more expensive repair. I know the one for my Ram is this.

http://www.drivetrain.com/parts_cata...ase_saver.html

But I found this one on eBay with free shipping for $40. Looks identical but just wanted to be sure.

Thanks!
Patrick

What does the transfer case saver do? Are these things a ticking time bomb? And how much work is it?

Sure sounds like, yes, it is a ticking time bomb. Dropping the driveshaft is not a big deal, then 4 bolts yo pop off the cover to access the shaft that you need to put the saver on. A little RTV sealant and you're done.

From the searches I have done it seems as if it is a time bomb. $40 piece of mind can save an entire transfer case. Also the job isn't that difficult. Plan on doing over winter.

Yep that's the same one I'm running good insurance. And if you need to great time to do the joints and change t-case fluid also. Seal it with ultra black silicone for the tail shaft
