Got it, Thanks, Ive got the DHD 241 . In your (DF) opinion is it a good one or bad one? What to look for? Any improvements that I can or should do?

That's a nice, heavy duty case. Hard to beat. Could have a lower low range, but, for a stock unit, it's great.

Got mine done today. Didn't need the dead-blow hammer for the output shaft housing, I needed it for the driveline! Those u joints were in the yoke tight. The hardest part was getting that old clip out (mine was still in place).

Stock low range in the dodge t-cases (all of them..... I think) is like 2.73:1, Something in the neighborhood of 4:1 would be really cool. (and is available from various aftermarket companies...... just, not cheap.)

Thanks for the info, Heres another question....Whats the difference between a DHD 241 and a DLD 241 T case?

DHD is heavy duty, DLD is light duty. I think the only difference in the HD has a slightly wider chain.
