Default steering wheel shake when thrning at low speeds

I have a 2001 dodge 1500 360 4x4. I noticed the other day driving on the highway the steering felt odd keeping it straight when I'd go to turn the wheel a bit to keep straight it felt like it would have a dead spot in the steering ... Driving in town when I would turn slowly the wheel will try and keep turning kind of then itd try going the other way in short quick pulls. What could this be.

How's your power steering fluid? Reservoir full? Fluid dirty??

How are your tires? Any odd wear to them?

Be sure and get an alignment when you have it all back together.

You might want to replace the u-joint on the other side also. They still have to move when you steer, even in 2wd.
