Default Transfer Case Diagnosis Needed

Hey everyone,

I have an 01 Ram 1500 with the 5.9, i recently backed my truck out of the driveway and put it in drive, pressed the gas and the engine revved but i went nowhere, i think it is the transfer case because earlier i was briefly in 4wd with 33s on the front and 35s on the back, i need to see if its something simple or if i need a new transfer case. I was able to get it in 4wd and it would move that way but not in 2 wheel. Any help is appreciated

Hhhmmm....... that's kinda strange...... Think it would block the wheels, leave the truck in park, drop the rear driveshaft, and try and turn the t-case output shaft by hand. See what happens.

It's possible that the t-case is fine, and the rear diff is what blew up.

hans01 it would probably be your rear spider gears... and having 2 diff size tire don’t help when your in 4x4
