Default A/C Orifice valve on 1996 2n Gen

I am having the damdest time figuring out if my 96 ram 1500 has the A/C coolant line orifice tube built in the liquid line tube or if it uses a drop in seperate orifice tube near the condenser. The A/C shop put a seperate drop in orifice valve and now the A/C is not cold as before, and seems slow. If someone can tell me what this model 96 needs orifice valve wise, I would greatly appreciate it .

It's orifice tube is located in the front near the AC Condenser.

Some folks say that and others tell me it's in the AC line, literally build in the liquid line midway. If that's the case, now I have TWO orifice valves in my AC system, which would create a blockage.

The fixed orifice tube is located in the outlet line of
the condenser. The inlet and outlet ends of the tube
have a screen to filter the refrigerant. O-rings on the
tube body prevent the refrigerant from by-passing
the fixed orifice. The fixed orifice tube is used to
meter the flow of liquid refrigerant into the evaporator
coil. The fixed orifice tube cannot be repaired
and, i f faulty, must be replaced.
From the 96 service manual.

I've taken my AC system apart and replaced the Orifice Tube on mine, it is definitely by the condenser.

Default Two different stories - very confused

I agree with everyone here, and replaced the orifice tube there at the condensor, the AC still seems substandard.. What has me confused is watching you tube vids and on ram forums folks are saying that wished the tube whereby rgecindensir, but it was built in the line.. That shot me afraid I now have TWO orifice valves installed... Let me find you tube video link:
