I have an 2001 dodge 2500 v8 5 speed manual. and i just recently noticed a knocking noise while in neutral and the clutch was out but as soon as i depress the clutch the noise goes away and its quiet i dont notice the noise while i drive cause my truck load so i dont know if it is knocking while im driving or not. so im trying to figure out what it is? a throwout bearing maybe??? any other suggestions thanks.

 

How much pressure do you have to put on the pedal to make the noise stop?

 

about 1/4-1/2 way in it will stop

 

Wonder if the fifth gear nut is coming loose......
